African Tails: Celebrating 10 Years
Sixteen local artists have created over 30 line drawings for the first edition of the African Tails Adult Colouring Book, which celebrates the Cape Town-based non-profit animal welfare organisation’s 10th anniversary.
African Tails focuses on education, community upliftment and sterilisation (having completed over 10 000 since their inception).
The book depicts a combination of realistic and fantastical drawings for you to colour in, with works by artists including Alma Schaap, Adele van Heerden, Lisa-Marie Myburgh, Jessica Metcalfe, Johan van Zyl, Lauren Theunissen and Caitlin Mkhasibe. The book is printed on high quality paper, suitable for most art mediums, and features well over 30 illustrations, exclusively designed for African Tails by a local group of passionate and upcoming artists.
All proceeds from the sale of the book will go directly to African Tails. It launches on 3 November 2016 at Untitled Studios, 143 Harrington Street, Cape Town. The launch runs alongside an art exhibition where all the original artworks featured in the book will be for sale. Event details can be found here.
