Artist Statement
Video presentation part of the online symposium: “The Intersection of Sight and Sound”
I am not a synaesthete but learning about simulated/ synthetic synesthesia while at art school helped me find ways to intersect art and sound in my work. I’m honoured to have my video presentation available to watch on my 3 artworks made for the virtual exhibition and on the exhibited audio-visual installations created while studying from 2012 -2015 at the Michaelis School of Fine Art at the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
